Default Gift of Screws

I've been listening to the Gift of Screws songs from the Still Going Insane website, and they're great! I would love to have a new Lindsey solo cd with these songs and/or new ones. I fantasize about Lindsey touring solo and playing at small little intimate places. *Sigh* Wouldn't that be GREAT?? (As if he could really do that)

Actually, it might not be great. I would have to quit my job and follow him around.

I'll just listen and enjoy and plan to go see him in May with FM.

Well, he DID on the OOTC tour. I wish he'd put out a solo album and sell it on a website. As much as I ADORE the GOS songs not on SYW, I wanna hear all new material!

Default Solo Lindsey on Tour

I am so sorry you missed it, Carolina Girl. I saw Lindsey in Austin Texas in 1993. A small intimate place...it was a pool hall on the left and a big room on the right with a bar and small stage only a couple of feet off the floor. We were free to move around, get close to the stage and hang out. There were probably 100 maybe 110 people in the place. $18.00 a ticket!!!
Lindsey came out with a new afro. When he sang the line in I'm So Afraid that goes "I'll never change, I never will" he grabbed his big Kramer-like/Jeff Lynne-like hair and shook it, hillarious!!!!
What a treat. Rolling Stone magazine (back when it was good) had a great review saying that it was such an incredible tour and album that Lindsey should "get out more often". Absolutely the best concert I have ever been to. If only he would do it again!!!

Wow! I can't believe so few people came to see Lindsey solo, especially since he gets such massive audiences as a part of Fleetwood Mac. Surprising.

Thanks for the details, Chris!! That sounds SO GREAT!!! I would love to see him in such an intimate setting! I wonder if there is any chance that he would ever tour again like that?

Carolina girl, I know it`s not the same but perhaps a little substitute: One of Lindseys shows was taped by TV and aired as part of the "Centerstage" series back then in the US. I know there are videos of it floating around and you surely can find someone over here to trade with. There are also some fan pages where you can download audio clips from time to time. Good luck and enjoy- Stefan

I saw this tour in Cleveland at a very small Bar in the Flats, "Peabody's". It was a sensational show!

He said he won't ever do a tour like that again because it cost him a fortune. But I am glad I got to see it!

If it wasn't for Rumours, he wouldn't have ever been able to pay for it!

Center Stage dvd OUT OF THE CRADLE, CHICAGO '92

Fantastic Show!

Buckingham bleeeeeeds BIG LOVE here! Then seques into GOIN’ INSANE which he altered brilliantly from the album's psychotic-synth>>>>to acoustic live!

He's in fine voice throughout....DON'T LOOK DOWN &
YOU DO OR YOU DON'T - Electrifying!

Ahhhh....Soothing ukulele in hand for “ALL MY SORROWS,” while his entire cool Guitar-Army is harmonizing.

Loses himself playing his poignant father's favorite THIS NEARLY WAS MINE.....He’s gone…..

He thrussssssts his head backwards during his power-pulsating CHAIN guitar riff. Buckingham is emancipated!!!!!!!!!

THE CHAIN is broken!

>>>>The wrestling was cool..... It was between Buckingham and Liza Carbe during the grand finale of THIS IS THE TIME after each member of Buck's guitar army played an earthshaking riff...

>>>>Then he raises his ax above his head and shakes it!>>>>WHAT A PERFORMANCE! Emancipated, I tell ya!!!
