Is there something about this song that I am missing? I mean, it's a good song, but WHY four versions? Is there some obsession with it?

I think these takes just show best how lindsey approached his songwriting back then, and that was very defining in the endresult of what Tusk was. For a reissue that " celebrates " the sheer brilliance of the album, it's probably regarded as interesting information for people who want to know more about how this album came to life.

I dig that.

Enormously.

I agree, Gerald. But, alas, I still don't have my copy.

I think it's awesome too, I'm just curious why it's this song, rather than four versions of "Save Me a Place" or something like that.

Maybe Lindsey wants people to be sure he wasn't wrong?

that's quite funny, isn't it.

Maybe it's -what i think it is- one of the keysongs in the production of this batch of buckinghamsongs: NTF grew out of it,(or viceversa) and these, I presume, appeared to be the best worked-out demo's they found-and although similar, different in the worked-out parts.

But: I don't know sh*t about this, It's just what I thought out that sounds reasonable for me

Wonderful insight as to how the man approaches his music. I sucked it up. Truly great.

Isn't it weird that I have them for one week now (Minus 13 hours or so) in Nijmegen...and you're still waitin' in one of the music-capitols of the States?

Wish you mental strength

Oh yessss! It's the very first time I ordered a CD online and it was amazon I chose btw. I did not want to run through stores again hearing "Fleetwood who...?" and get to know after the computer search "I don't know, next week, perhaps etc" like it always is when I hit stores on the release dates of some artists I like. Somebody mentioned that the albums get shipped early so they arrive on or near the release date... But- still I am waiting on my Tusk CD to arrive. Gerald you did it better and it surely is the last time I used amazon instead of looking around by myself.

The first one was nice, the second one is GREAT! Talk about chills.
