If [Stevie] doesn't do the album and they fire her. We might get a solid album and then see them in small intimate venues. (I'm not mad about that either.)
That would be a dream come true.

I like Stevie and I like her songs, but I like Christine's and Lindsey's songs and their collaborations better. I liked Say You Will but never shook the feeling that it was a Lindsey solo record and a Stevie solo record on shuffle.

In my opinion, an album with Lindsey and Christine (without Stevie) would sound more like a band album than Say You Will does. Those two know how to collaborate, and have a long history of producing splendid songs together. I want to hear more of those. Stevie's harmonies on them would be good, but musically unnecessary. Two, or three, or four solo songs by Stevie, shoe-horned into a Fleetwood Mac album, would serve to satisfy the public's craving to have the 5 Rumourmacsters together again, but they might not fit too well into the work that Lindsey and Christine will put into the recording (or already have put into the recording).

Sigh. I'm not sure I care any longer. It all seems to be going to pot. I'm not sure why I was surprised about that.

I'll see them live this year and if that's the end, I daresay it will be a hell of a way to bow out.

Of course she'll be on the new album.
Don't get caught up in all the fake drama,
Most of which is created by fans.

She's always done her studio time separately.

There's nothing new going on this time around.

Yes and no. When LB left it was a huge story. When SN left many people were surprised the MAC was still touring. The point remains the same. Stevie has never had what she views as the swooning over absence.

Yikes. That wasn't easy to listen to.

Maybe the MAC needs to do a Beatles type of John Lennon type thing and take some old Stevie demos and build some music around those.

interesting! i have seen tons of tweets of people claiming how these performances are great example of just how much SN songs need LB to make them into something listenable. not the message she was going for, i'm sure.

Honestly, that was downright terrible. A far cry from the way she sang w/ FM in LA.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

But that's not how Blue Water sounds on the record at all. Dave Stewart's production is great on the song -- which is not something I say lightly. In fact, it sounds pretty sublime, although I made merciless fun of Charles Kelley before I heard him on the record. Maybe I have something against tall guys. Sorry, Mick.

This is the best song about a goldfish and a ladybug that you will ever hear, Elle.

Studio version (24K) FM should have put it on a record.

So, Christine's songs would benefit from Lindsey's production, while Stevie's would benefit from a shredder?
