Thanks, Lis. You can never have too many Christine McVie mentions.

I wonder if Warley is where she's originally from. It seems like her family moved alot when she was growing up.

I think she ended up there when she was a teen. The names of the towns change so much, it's very hard to figure out was what!! Sent you a private message BTW!

I think she was born in Greenodd in the Lake District which is no where near Warley.

It does seem that the family moved around a lot.

So the Lake District is not near the West Midlands area either, right? I am really awful w/ the geography of Great Britain, but I am trying to understand it LOL Plus is doesn't help that every decade or so it seems towns there change their names/ merge etc.

Speaking as a Brit I would say it was no where near. But my idea of no where near may be different to yours. I think they are about 150 miles apart. So driving on our roads that would take the best part of 3 hours.

What tends to happen here is that administrative districts tend to merge and whole new names emerge!

I'm quite pleased that Julie Walters also comes from Warley. She is a really talented actress who can do comedy and serious stuff as well. She is famous in the UK for playing the part of Mrs Overall in a spoof soap opera called Acorn Antiques. (Don't ask)

I hope you're paying attention to this because I may ask questions later!
