I'm not sure the point is to say the actions themselves are equivalent; rather it reminds people that all the members of this band have behaved badly throughout their history, and have behaved badly towards each other. People like to pick and choose to suit their narrative. Like how people forget, when picking through Carol's book, when the band refused to cancel a show after Lindsey had had a seizure, and had a spinal tap and was in serious pain. One could cherry pick lots of examples.

Like - a drunken John throwing an axe after Christine, barely missing her?
Alcohol and (legal and illegal) drug abuse do bring out the worst in people That's a fact.
Not one member of the band has been perfect (aside from the Perfect one, of course ).

I think this is the tweet that's being discussed, but it looks like it's from an older account Billy used to use:

"OKay, there was one time that Stevie a Chris were fighting (don't ask me why!) and Stvie picked up a chair and lobbed it at Chris!"

Here's the link:

Interestingly a few tweets above that he says Stevie can hold a grudge.

There it is, THANK YOU!!!

Interesting about the grudge. Guess that was pretty clear with her antics.

In Stevie's own words...

"I think I got up and ran across the room and tried to kill him. I ran and attacked him." Stevie Nicks, Behind the Music

No big deal. After all, it's Stevie Nicks. So it doesn't count.

Ooh, yes. All 5'1" and 98 pounds of her (at the time). So intimidating! By the way, this is also the incident where Lindsey chased her around the block, bent her over a car hood and tried to choke her to death. That'll teach her not to mess with Mister Manly Man.

Exactly. It's ridiculous. They'd be fine if she'd killed him.

This type of violence is never okay. Doesn't matter whether it's a man or a woman. Case closed.

Oh, and here is film footage of the incident:

Again, false equivalency. Both are bad. But men assaulting women crosses so many lines; it is never acceptable. How would you feel if Lindsey grabbed your mother by the hair with one hand out the window whilst dragging her along the pavement with a car?

Okay, but this would have been during the Klonopin years. How far could she have thrown it?

According to Ed it is, when it's a woman committing the violence. #edtoo

Default Q

Wow. Now where are all those people who keep on complaining about Lindsey's behaviour? Why aren't they defending Christine McVie? Why aren't the chiffon contingent yelling "abusive", "misogynist" ad nauseam at their Goat Queen? Is it now all right to fling chairs at people, as long as it's not the Goat who is the target? Is not Christine McVie a proper object of sympathy too? Or is it just the Goat Queen who matters in this band? And don't blame Klonopin, I've been taking Klonopin for far longer than Stevie did and I've never flung a chair at anybody. Her drug use and alleged Klonopin abuse are just excuses for her irrational, VIOLENT, narcissistic behaviour which is only now becoming obvious because the incidents keep piling up and can no longer be hushed away.

The chiffonhead hypocrisy is disgusting.

the stiletto cuts quick, like a whip through the air

I might be the only one, but I've always assumed this lyric from Firelies was a reference to her hurling a high-heel shoe at Lindsey during a fight.
