haha I will second you on that, but representing the East Coast. You should see what we 20something New Yorkers - arguably in our peak on-trend, sartorial years - wear!

Yes, as many people as there are who dress up, a lot of people dress down and they have that freedom. Stevie really doesn't.

Aside from that, because of her stage antics that didn't slow down at all for 15 years, she probably has put more wear and tear on her body than the average woman her age. That's why she first introduced those Reeboks in the nineties. Things were starting to be a little sore, even then.

She talked about her fall at the Casino Rama in 2007 in the interview where she described the power plate. She said she had a bad hip and knee then. She said that plate really fixed her. Even so, I don't think her joint problems went away for good. Clearly, she's still nursing them. Her clothes, eye wear and even her jewelry are largely designed around those physical needs, from what I can see.

She would if she could.

"And that's always been since the very beginning. People have said to me, 'Well, you know you could get out there a little bit more since Lindsey (Fleetwood Mac guitarist Buckingham) is running around the stage like a crazy whirling dervish.' And I'm going, 'But I don't do that.' What am I supposed to do? Do a tap dance? Or cartwheels? Or jump down in the splits? What should I do to keep up with Lindsey? So I don't try."
It is funny, because she was often described as a whirling dervish in the past. Rolling Stone probably started it in 1977:

Quote:
What with Buckingham prowling around the stage, dropping feisty lead runs into all the right places, and singer Nicks playing the whirling dervish Welsh witch Rhiannon, the group's dignified reserve was clearly a thing of the past.
But I've seen her called that many times afterwards too.
