Tom Petty Show Tonight in Tampa, FL

I'm sure there have been threads about this tour, but please indulge me nonetheless. I'm going to see TP and the Heartbreakers (and ZZ Top!!) tonight in Tampa. Thoughts on this tour? What should I expect? I've never seen Tom live so I'm super excited about seeing him and the band. I've heard that the setlist hasn't changed much from show to show and that the show lengths have been on the short side. Any comments would be much appreciated. Thanks!

The fact that you've never seen Tom Petty LIVE before tells me one thing: YOU are going to have a great time! Tom puts on a great show and he is part of an amazing band, from Benmont Tench (piano, keyboards), Mike Campbell (lead guitar), Steve Ferrone (drums) you are going to hear almost every song you can think of, and then some more! Like fans of Fleetwood Mac, fans that go to multiple shows all complain about hearing all the hits at a show, but Tom does throw in more surprises and includes stuff from their latest album as well. The audience tends to be mellow--seems to be a scent of Genja in the air at their shows.

A friend of mine said that she's never been more stoned than at a Tom Petty show. HA! Yeah, I've been to his website and all that, but I was wondering what people had to say about their experiences. Thanks for the info!
