Then just maybe this will work

Stevie really needs to bring Brad back for the next solo tour, just for the nostalgia.

Interesting that they played a gig without Stevie. Didn't know about that one. Not only that but this was less than 2 weeks after their performance at Bill Clinton's inauguration.

Interesting Rick Vito is playing. I thought he'd left long before then.

Rick played as a favour to Billy. From Rick's q&a:

The Super Bowl thing was put together by Billy Burnette who asked me to do it. I really didn't feel comfortable doing it at first since I was not in the band at the time, but Billy really wanted me to. That's the last time I played with the Mac as a group.

Thanks for sharing that. It felt uncomfortable watching it on TV too. Just 10 days earlier Rick and Billy were nowhere to be seen while the Mac played for Clinton's inaugural ball. Rick left and Billy was not invited for the Clinton gig but they sure needed these 2 guys for this Superbowl appearance. I wonder how much they got paid. Clearly not enough for Stevie and Lindsey LOL.

Pass. As much as I love them they aren't relevant enough to do it. Say what you will about the acts they've been getting recently but they are all chart toppers and they bring in viewers. Coldplay especially are a well-experienced live band who are known for their amazing live shows which is no doubt why they were chosen (despite the fact you wouldn't know that basing it off of the segment they performed this year).

For the time being, the Mac are nothing more than a glorified Greatest Hits touring band and unless they have a new album to promote, can't see them doing it.
