Danny and Django
Hi everyboby!
I bought a Django Reinhardt 3CD box set this week just out of curiousity. And I was blown away by his playing!! I really recommend it! Then I thought of Danny's "Jigsaw Puzzle Blues." Some places I have read that it was something he had heard Django do. Other places it said that it was only inspired by Django. It certainly is, but none of the 58 tracks on the Django box was called "Jigsaw Puzzle Blues." And none had the same musical structure and chords as "Jigsaw Puzzle Blues." So does anybody know if the song was a cover of a Django tune, or just inspired by his playing? I would have loved to hear Django do it. Daniel |
