Default Who thinks they should have released a song other than Peacekeeper as the single?

I'm just interested if anybody thinks, as I do, now that I have heard almost all the songs, that another choice might have been better?

No I don`t think so. I like the song and it's a good choice imo. They should better have promoted it differently. The often mentioned video thing and the single needed to be released as a real copy in the stores with a B side, which makes the fans want to buy it in addition to the album.

I believe that they will release Say you will next but I don't see how they can reach major charts success without the beforementioned points.

Default other single?

I agree 100%. Peacekeeper did nothing to excite me about the album, although now that I hear the rest of the album, it's great. Thrown Down would've been a better single.

Or even Steal Your Heart Away.

Default Peacekeeper-Great Choice!!

I like Peacekeeper. It is one of Lindsey's more accesable songs that should appeal to the general public. I guess that I mean it is not as "quirky" or "envelope pushing" as some of the other songs.

The vocals are great. It really showcases both Lindsey and Stevie.

The song has definitly been hurt by the lack of a video. FM doesn't get much (if any) play on top 40 radio so they need videos that VH-1 could be playing.

The next single should be Thrown Down or SYW. TD has great vocals by Stevie and SYW has a great beat. Also, Video! Video!! Video!!!

Im not that fond of Peacekeeper as a song personally. A lot of primal singing in the song I dont care for but thats just me.

Im hoping SYW, and Thrown Down will be released.

I like the song but the line "take no prisoners, only kill" really disturbs me. The war is still too close, in our hearts and minds, and in many peoples families. What if the Iraqi's had "only kill" in mind when they took our 7 p.o.w.'s

I think everybody is on overload from the media already, Peacekeeper makes me think of pvt. Lynch, what was done to her, and I just can't stand anymore right now.

I think Peacekeeper was a good choice. Sure, there are plenty of other good songs they could have chose from but I'm simply still PO'd at the moronic decision to release the single in, and ONLY in, mp3 format....!!!!

I might be wrong, but it kind of seems like they are treating Peacekeeper as a semi-single, and just relying on TV ads and the strength of the Fleetwood Mac name to carry first-week sales.

I think we might see a video and more of a push at radio when they release Say You Will, which is probably their best chance at chart success in my opinion.

I like Peace Keeper but would have preferred to see one of these as the first single but maybe one or more of these will be single releases some where down the line.

1) Say You Will
2)What's the World Coming To?
3)Smile At You
4)Thrown Down

I like "Peacekeeper" as the first single. I think it obviously struck a chord w/ a lot of people.

I do think the next single should be "Everybody Finds Out". It's just a hard rockin', fast, get your body pumpin' song! I think it would do really well on radio. Although it will probably be "Say You Will". That's what seems safest...since they already went out on a limb w/ "Peacekeeper".
