An Introduction.

I just wanted to say hello to everyone.

My name is Matt, and after a long hunt for a decent FM forum, I have just registered.

While I was always aware of Fleetwood Mac, it wasn't until 1997 that I became a huge fan and started snapping up all of the CD's (etc) that I could get my hands on. *spins finger in sarchastic ecstatic circles*

My favourite member is (and not to be predictable, but) Stevie, and I for the most part have stayed within releases by FM that pertain to her. The only exception to this being Mystery To Me which is let's just face it a brilliant stand-alone album.

Though I think Stevie's finest work with Lindsey is on Buckingham Nicks, of Fleetwood Mac's 5 proper studio albums with the BN lineup I prefer Tusk. (more bang for your buck...no pun...). I think the main reason Tusk works best is that the majority of the songs were not huge singles, so the distraction of a video image or chart peak for individual songs is not present.

On a non FM level (many gasp at the mere suggestion of such a concept!) I am 21. I am happily commited. I am blonde. I have green eyes. I am seen 2ce in my avatar. I am not conceited. I'm a vegan Aquarius Texan. (god, that would just make the best song...j/k)

I'm new too, but people here are extremely friendly!
I've been a vegetarian for almost 2 years now, I have contemplated becoming vegan, but I haven't been able to pull it off.

Thanks for the welcome. I was vegetarian for 5 years before becoming vegan in 1998. I thought it was going to be impossible at first (I lived off of BBQ Pringles and Twizzlers for 2 weeks), but as soon as I started finding alternatives and really simple recipes I really started enjoying myself.

It makes you feel "cleaner", I'm not sick nearly as much, and I lost a lot of weight.

Steering back on topic: how long have you been a fan?

So, in other words, your favorite member is Stevie and you like her best when Lindsey is in complete control of arranging and producing her music. I understand, but I suspect you will eventually like Lindsey better.

Dude, you forgot to tell us your shoe size, favorite color, favorite Sopranos character and which side of the bed you prefer. Inquiring minds want to know.

Actually, no. I like Stevie for more reasons than the production of the music, for which I know early on Lindsey can take the majority of the credit. I like Stevie's voice, I like her stage presence, and unlike Lindsey, her most recent work hasn't put me to sleep. The reason I defined my likings based on FM is because this is the FM forum and not the Stevie one.

Kudos to you for being a vegan.I did the vegetarian bit for about three months,and i eventually fell back into old habits.I am looking into doing it again though,i just have to get motivated.

Hey Matt, welcome.

I think you'll like it here, but I would either refrain from making references that you like Stevie best, or be prepared to vigorously argue for your opinions. The favorite member/least favorite member thing tends to be a touchy subject around here, especially if you compare Stevie and Lindsey. Just a piece of advice.

Welcome to the Ledge!

I too want to chime in on how cool your sig is...very nice.... And to commend you for you being a vegetarian. I'm still working on it myself, but I have cut my consumption of meat drastically over the years, especially beef and pork and of the "processed" types(hot dogs, lunch meat, and hamburger) in particular.

Have fun and stay out of trouble....IF YOU CAN!
