Question PG not on Harrison tribute?

This is a link to the Amazon.com page for the George Harrison tribute CD "Songs from the material world" that we THOUGHT was going to have Greeny on it but have a look and you'll see in the tracklisting that he doesn't seem to be on it:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...016218-4365542

So what's the deal? Mario? Anyone?

John

Exclamation Also...

In case anyone thought that PG may be playing on another artists song on this CD, allmusic.com have the musician credits listed here:

http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll

...so any further info on "what happened (etc.)" would be great. Thanks!

John

P.S. I just noticed the Allmusic link doesn't work, well, you can see it if you go to allmusic.com and choose a search for "album" and then type in "songs from the material world" and click on "search".

So, to put the record straight, Peter didn't play on that George Harrison Tribute cd.

He was working on the new Splinter Group cd and dropped the idea.

But he did play on Debbie Davis "Key To Love" - A Celebatrion Of The Music Of John Mayall - (Shanachie 9034) on the track "Nature's Disappearing" both harp and lead guitar.

I think it is one of the best thing he did since his comeback with the Splinter Group.

Another one to try and get!

Stay Green.

Mario.

Thanks for confirming BOTH of these things Mario. I thought I had heard about the Mayall thing a few months ago and thought it was just a cover of a Green era Bluebreakers track that was going to be on there but I'm happy to hear Peter is actually on the CD (and in good form it sounds like) so I now know to get this CD tomorrow as well as the PGSG CD!
