The media is confused about what a selfie is!

I'm seeing this more and more on TV. Broadcasters, in particular. For example they might show photos of two people together, sometimes groups of people, and say "so and so took this selfie!" It's photo you took that you're featured in. In this case, it's a photograph.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a selfie, by definition, a photo you take only of yourself?

Generally a selfie just refers to the fact that you the took picture of yourself - not that you're the only one in it.

if it were not for the "media" you wouldn't have the word selfie or any other "buzz" word catch phrase that is over used ... so " they " can use it any way they want

So true......It drives me nuts! As does the broadcasters holding I Pads and don't even look at them or say........."Really? " just to use it because everyone does.

It's not them but the morons who repeat it,or fall for the your life will be incomplete with out ....(insert product here)
