Default Oooh

So does that mean they will most probably be released on Tuesday? (I'm just checking cause you're either laughing that they probably will be delayed again or the irony that you get to buy them one day before they actually are released... either way they won't be released here for ten years, but as soon as you guys get them I get the low-down on them!)

Exclamation

Oh yeah, they've been delayed to at least Feb. for sure.

It doesn't surprise me that some of these sites are still sayng earlier dates as they are hoping people will think "gee, if I order from this site, I'll get it sooner" while all along they're just going to get them the same time as the others (when they actually come out, and these sites know this and just don't update the release dates). I guess these sites would rather put up with upset customer phone calls for a few months saying "where are my CD's?" to get a few extra pre sales $ rather than just be straight with their customers about the delays. Oh well though, such is life.

Exclamation I received...

the same email a few days ago and I basically ignored it because of Cd-Universe's tendency to be have inaccurate release dates (ie-Dream Theater's "Train Of Thought"...The band's official website even had to release a statement about CD-Universe's incorrect date.)

I will believe the February release date when I actually see 'em (Hopefully for once the date may be correct!!!)

Question

I agree Brian, I'll believe it when I see it as well. I had noticed the new ICE magazine simply states "to be rescheduled" for these so even Feb 4 may not be concrete yet.

Default Does anyone have an idea?

Is there plans for Mirage and TITN to be released in deluxe editions, too?

These deluxe editions will be newly remastered, and are set to contain bonus tracks (though no word yet on what the bonus tracks will be). 'Fleetwood Mac' (1975) will remain a single disc, but 'Rumours' and 'Tusk' will each be expanded to 2-discs.

Why do we want them? Basically, because the mastering process involved with CDs is lightyears ahead of what it was when compact discs first hit the market, so these new discs will no doubt sound MUCH better than the CD versions currently available... not to mention sounding even better than the original vinyl editions.
Also, the lure of "bonus tracks"... whether they be alternate mixes, previously unreleased demos, or live cuts... is pretty appealing.

As far as when we can get them... well, that's still up in the air. It was originally rumoured that they'd be released this past June, but the release date has changed multiple times. Currently, February 3rd, 2004, stands as the possible release date.

At the moment, only the first three albums to feature Lindsey & Stevie are getting the remastered/expanded treatment, but David McLees, from Rhino Records, has stated that they do plan to eventually remaster all of Fleetwood Mac's albums.

Hopefully they won't take too long getting to 'Mirage,' as that one is desperately in need of remastering.

HA! Well, though still not great, I bought a UK version of the "Mirage" CD to do me until the remastered "Mirage" comes out (IF it comes out that is, waiting impatiently ).

At least it's a LITLLE bit louder that the current cruddy US version of the CD if nothing else.

Isn't that the truth or what? I am so excited about finally getting to hear "Straight Back," "Only Over You," and "That's Alright" in remastered form. I LOVE those songs!

That would have been a nice stocking stuffer .

I'm told the main holdup is that with the tour, Lindsey has not had enough time to review the stuff being considered for bonus material.
