I really hope he recovers his voice. But assuming the worst and he does not, I’m betting he’d still be VERY creative and focus on instrumental work and music production. The man is a role model for creative people everywhere.

I dunno....Being the studio wizard that he is, I can't imagine that if he has any bit of voice to sing with left that he couldn't do all sorts of things with it in the studio..with all the electronics that are out there...I mean he's messed with his voice in the studio forever anyway (so much so that he can make it sound an awful lot like FM when Chris and Stevie were never there). The touring bit is more problematic. He uses pre recorded tracks, but usually not for his lead vocals ...

Whatever he chooses to do (and how he chooses to do it) he will remain a creative force, very likely until he stops breathing.

Same.

But wow, he has had quite an artistically gratifying / influential and highly lucrative career (the best of both worlds), even if he never sings again.

I just desperately wish it had ended on a higher note, if it's indeed over.

yes I don't think he wants his career to be determined by anyone but himself, and most certainly not by Stevie.

So what a low blow for the whole heart thing to have happened before he was able to make a strong musical counter statement to everything they did.

I hope he's able to make a return. Forget FM. Lindsey is the creative force. Collaborations, producing other artists, anything he wants - ALL good.

Whether or not he can sing again, why hasn’t his new album come out? It’s been done for at least two years, now. Why did the label opt to release a comp over a new album? How much longer do we have to wait to hear new music from Lindsey, even if it’s determined he can’t tour it? He’s 70, isn’t time ticking away?

Lindsey said on his 2018 tour that the album would be released in 2019 in conjunction with a new tour but unfortunately he had his health issue and the brakes have been put on his plans. So................?

So, release it now knowing there won’t be a tour, release it now now knowing a tour might come later (a la OOTC), or give us an update about his voice (again, the only reason we know he can’t sing is because they told us).

presumably he'd at least like to promote the album by doing interviews and such. Otherwise it'll just sink like a stone from public awareness. If he can't talk, it makes interviews harder, certainly for tv interviews. He can certainly do print interviews answering questions via email. I'd personally love if he'd do this anytime now, new album release or not. But I think he'd like to have something to talk about other than rehashing the whole FM sh*tshow. He would probably like to define himself by something other than that.

He's been working with a voice specialist so he may well have hopes of touring it at some point and wants to wait.

Kristen's gone fairly silent about him on social media as far as I know, but I've been knee-deep in work and haven't followed much of anything on social media the last couple months or so. Maybe someone else knows if she's made any comments.

If he doesn’t have his voice, I hope he still has his age-defying energy. I know that is something that probably had to be built back up over time and medication often causes fatigue. But I prize his vitality because some people are jealous of it and that gives me satisfaction.

I wonder how Lindsey is doing? We haven't heard anything in awhile.

I'm guessing that there's no good news, in regards to his voice.

you're likely right, but wouldn't it be great if in fact his voice was actually getting better, and they're just not telling anyone because it'll be such a great surprise when he's suddenly booked on some show or something and comes out and sings?? Now THAT would make a great story, get all sorts of media attention, and THEN he could drop his album? It would be such a fantastic comeback story.

I would LOVE this to be the case
