I did some research, and Mark Needham has engineered and/or mixed albums for Meredith Brooks, Jonathan Cain, and the band Cake... among others.

Bernie Grundman has mastered albums for Jim Brickman, The Carpenters, Sheryl Crow, the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, Barbra Streisand, Joan Baez, Aaliyah, Ryan Adams, Warren Zevon, and several dozen others.

I don`t know where some of you get your infos from. In the net these are not available. So this forum appears to be the first source to be well informed.
And if that information is right- here we are- as predicted and expected! Despite of all the Mick Fleetwood interview and infomails. We forget the double CD thing and wait to get a single CD. With maybe 9 LB songs we already know. Some of them Stones covers... Seems not everyone here already noticed the news.

I was told a few weeks ago (and posted here about it), that the band had 23 songs completed, and were going to pair the project down to an even 20.
19 songs isn't far off from the info I was given, so that's not the part that disappointments me.

The part that disappointments me, is the current info/rumour that the album will most likely be released on May 6th ("give or take a week")... but then, even *that* could change.

Maybe that info will prove wrong, but the source for it has always been pretty dang reliable.
I guess we'll see.

(As for those remaining 4 songs, I still have a strong feeling that they'll be released as a Best Buy exclusive, or some kind of tour promotion.)

Could you tell me more about the "Best buy" thing? I read about this a few times here, but it is unknown here in Germany as far as I know. Who brings out these BB things and what kind of artists are concerned? Is there a certain common topic? Or artists under a certain label? Thanks for the info. Stefan

Exclamation Best Buy...

is a retail outlet that specializes in electronics. In the past they have had new music releases that included bonus music (extra songs/DVD/etc.) with the purchase.

Alot of the artist used are well-known artist such as Fleetwood Mac & Paul McCartney (I ordered hs "Back In The US" live set and received a free extra DVD-single of the song "Matchbox")...Brian J.

ps-I dont think that the artists label is a factor in the BestBuy bonuses...I have seen alot of different labels involved in these promotions.

Just to add to what Brian wrote... both Fleetwood Mac, as a band, and Stevie, solo, have already done Best Buy giveaways.

In these particular cases, the "Best Buy exclusive" was a 2-disc set, that you had to send away for.
(You could get the coupons at one of the concerts.)

You filled out the little certificate, mailed it in, and about a month or so later, the set would arrive.

You'll find more info here....

They prolly wanna shoot for a summer tour...when is there a better time to do it? So May 6th sounds logical. Right in the middle of spring...right before summer.

Assuming you reside in the US, I picked up the certificate at The Dance show I attended, mailed the cerficate with a $10 for overseas postage and got zip from BestBuy, not even a letter to say non-US resisdents didn't qualify.

Ended up getting the 2 CD set off eBay!!
