Talking THANKS BRIAN!!

Great article!!! I particularly love this paragraph:

"It's fair to say that Fleetwood Mac probably would never have achieved such mega success had it not been for Lindsey Buckingham. Not to marginalize guitarists Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer, or Bob Welch-all of whom contributed immensely to making Fleetwood Mac one of the most progressive blues-rock-pop bands of the 60's and early 70's-but it was Lindsey Buckingham's unique guitarstyle and savvy arranging, producing, and songwriting skills that guided the band to the top of the charts in the mid 1970s with Fleetwood Mac and Rumours.

Not surprised, huh? LOL

Im not sure its out in the stores yet, Usually I receive my copy about 1-3 weeks before the stores usually do (But that could have changed...)

Just look for the GuitarPlayer with a bright blue background with Lindsey in a black leather jacket holding his Model I at his side...

Deep thanks for the typing of that article, Brian. It was an interesting reading.

I still have issues with Lindsey discussing Christine's departure (always refering to it as a good thing for the band), but I know I'm probably making a wrong interpretation of his words, and that what he wants to say is that the band will carry on in an even better way than before, because of the new chemistry that exists. The way the comments are made, though, are still a little vague to me, to say the least.

Thanks a lot for typing all that out Brian!

It still hasn't come out in the shops here, hopefully it'll be within the next week.

Very interesting bit about "Say Goodbye"...I would never have guessed that it was about the band. I always thought it must have been written about one person in particular.

How has technology influenced the way you make records?

It hasn't. I still have a traditional console-it's not even computerized-and I still record to tape. I would like to change the way I record, though, because I now wish I had some of the editing capabilities that allow you to do things quicker.
So THAT's why he takes so long with his records!! Somebody buy this man a computer!!

And here's a link to the picture (I uploading one from a post on the LB part of "The Ledge" by sodascouts...Thanks Nancy!!!)

Well now that I've check this picture isnt the exact one from the interview...The only difference is that LB has his mouth closed in the GP picture (Like I said "Billy Idol")...Brian J.

Exclamation That IS an odd pose

But it's sooooooo cute!
That guitar technique stuff is FASCINATING. I'm gonna ask my guitar expert brother to break it all down for me It just convinces me even more that he's a musical genius, playing so well just by figuring it out by ear!
I found it so unbelievably sad (though not surprising) that GOS was basically shelved after The Dance because of corporate BS.
I still expect a GOS album though....I still say better late than never and there is so much left over good stuff for it (as discussed in Lindsey's forum).
I'm really surprised Lindsey hasn't embraced new recording technology...you'd think he would. But I'll accept any excuse for him taking so gosh darn long to perfect a song.
Th bio part is well-written, nice and brief.
VERY interesting about how the band chose from his demos which ones worked for the band, though it still boggles my mind that they couldn't find some use for Down On Rodeo and Twist Of Fate!
I'm not bothered by what he (and Stevie) say about Christine. They really do have to look forward and be optimistic about the future. I think it's clear they miss her.
AWESOME article. Thanks again Brian!!! Still can't wait to see that cover
