Default Sold My Model 1

Today I sold my beautiful model 1. I decided I was going to Upgrade to a Fully Loaded, Bells and Whistles version. So its an extra few hundred dollars but i really want it.
I thought the colour of mine although very unique was a bit too dark and i wanted the full black binding on the body and neck.
So some dont agree with me and some dont understand why i would bother. But i know it makes sense.

So the new colour will be vintage tan with full black binding, full electrics ans piezo

Whooo hooo !!!

I just sent a November 1994 Guitar Player to Blue Letter Archives, because I thought all the Peter Green fans had seen it already somewhere, but I think all you other guitar players might be interested in it too, as he talks about fingering, Emaj7 fragments . . . whatever, exactly how he plays Albatross and other elements of the music in detail.

Show it when you get it! I'm interested to see the tan!

Quote from the peter green Blue Letter

Was that before or after Fleetwood Mac?

It was directly after. I played a tour with just myself and "Nick Buck", an American guy who played electric piano

Now isnt that guys name a bit funny

I'm shocked!

There's no law that says you can't own more than one Model 1 at a time, ya know.

Sure, you'd be the target of massive "Turner envy", but that's easy to ignore.

Well other than me being bitter about it, and probably never wanting to own a Turner again (certainly not buying one direct from them)...thats pretty much it. =)

Well the Right Hand Vintage 1980 Model 1 I believe is finished,
Rick says he is very happy with it. The New Lefty Model 1 I have ordered is gonna take a few months. I have paid in full and Rick has selected a great block of honduras for the body. He also has selected a Beautifully lightly flamed Maple neck , so its really going to look the part. cant wait. Any updates on yours?

Whoa! That sounds incredible.

Well, 3 weeks ago Barry said mine would be ready and sent to me on or around May 9th. I've heard nothing since then.

Well they are probably just dotting the i's and crossing the t's at this point. Hopefully you will have your guitar very soon.

What finish did you get on the body was it flamed or something??

The guy from ebay that bought mine just loves it, he said its the best sounding guitar he has played. I miss it already. But I know a better one is coming.

hey,

no, regular "vintage tan/brown" top...i wanted it to look like the Tusk-era Model 1 that Lindsey still plays. I had a few minor exceptions/requests...New Zealand paua shell inlays...the old "Turner" style logo on the headstock...etc...nothing that would take them a lot of time. It's now been 11 months since I originally received the 1st guitar...
