Default Peace Keeper

I've been listening to Lindsey's solo version of Peace Keeper (that's how it's listed on the CD - not "Peacekeeper"). I much prefer this version to the Fleetwood Mac version -- it's a bit darker, stronger drums and a slightly stronger performance overall in my opinion. I wish it had received a broader release. About the only thing I miss from the Fleetwood Mac version is Stevie's harmony specifically on the line "you know all of our friends are gods and they all tell us how to paint our face". The band version lacks 'punch' in my opinion, in the guitars, vocals and drums.

Wow, this version blew me away! I already loved the FM version, but this one is even better. If they could have just added Stevie’s harmonies to this song, it would have been perfect, especially the specific lines you mentioned. Lindsey’s vocal sounds so much better here, and that annoying shrieking sound effect in the background isn’t as prevalent on the solo version, another big plus.

Thanks again for sharing the link!

Both are ok in my book. The song reminds me so much of the Iraq war. The song was breaking and remember thinking what strange timing. We really needed a Peace Keeper. When I hear the song, it instantly brings me back to that time. Its hard to believe its been 20 years. The war began in March and the song was released weeks later.

Hard agree - his solo version has more punch. The chorus sounds great with that extra guitar in it
