nothing to be sorry about - i'm actually really pleasantly surprised with the poll results so far and how many people seem to really love WATL!!

before Mick saying how WATL is one his favorite 10 songs he ever played on, i thought everybody in this world but me loves SMAP and hates WATL. so all these votes for WATL (23 people for WATL vs 11 people who's rather FM dig out a different deep track) are actually a great and rather unexpected result!!

thanks everyone for playing!!

I would like to hear it -- if he dropped something else slow like NGBA.

Yaah, I think she even gave it a nod in Mirror, Mirror.

If I remember correctly she singled this song out when asked to name a Tusk song of his that she liked. She was disagreeing with the notion that she just hated his music and said it was just the opposite. She said she does ballet to his music because he's got beautiful instrumentals. Just his lyrics . . . not turning her on.

Come?

wasn't shacking up originally some a bit more caustic line, but he toned it down? which reminds me, didn't she recently say when she was defending that girl from twilight that she can understand her because she was also cheating on a guy she had a long term relationship with and he forgave and took her back?

Hmmm, I don't know. How much more forthright with your language could you be in 1977 and still get radio airplay?

For SYW they had this deal with NBC where they were promoted on 4 of the network's shows. They played Thrown Down on Friends and they were on Leno for 2 nights and some other show (Third World?) and they also did Dateline and they were sitting there being interviewed and when the "shackin' up" line came up Lindsey said something like "the truth hurts." It amused me, because I just didn't expect that he would basically say "yeah it was true" in 2003.

ah yes, that was it - thank you!

i couldn't remember it because my mind was going to more about cheating, not drugs.

he covered the range there... and you can't say that was not mean.

I don't think "cracking up" would be a reference to drugs back then. I think it's about the mental state.
