absolutely, but so does I Am Waiting. And since there already was another cover, I can relate to his choice for one Stonescover. Gotta Get Away is candidate for the next album, like Lindsey said in an interview. I must say I really love that thing musically. And it's also completely Buckinghammed. The kind of covering I mostly like better than "covering close to the original".

I've heard a few of the Tango mixes, but don't have any of them anymore (except for a couple dance mixes of Little Lies on 12" 45 RPM vinyl).
Well Sarah, Ill post the songs for you on Sunday perhaps so you can see if they are the ones youre missing.

Ill post some other stuff if I can find anything else

As the starter of this thread I must admit that I never ever could imagine what a goldmine it became after a only a couple of days. You guys really made the threadtitle reality.

Everybody-as well the uploaders as the downloaders, thank you very much. We all made this thread worthwhile. And keep the tracks you find coming!

I really can dig further in Lindsey's way of writing/recording. It's becoming quite clear that his writing is a proces in which recording is a major tool. I knew that, but this is clear and hard proof for the "painting"-metaphor he so often uses.

This thread has made me an even happier guy than I was.

Thanks hon, I appreciate it. No rush.. whenever you get the chance, if you don't mind.

absolutely. the little 5 minute clip that was airing on PBS last winter-ish (I know December '06 for sure) comes to mind in particular.. where he closes his eyes and makes the brushing motion as he talks about his recording process. in a roundabout way, as a musician myself, this is just one more way that listening to lindsey for so long has shaped the way i make my own music. the very first time i pop out a new little riff or chord progression that catches my ear, i'm so anxious to get it onto tape so i can play it back and play something else on top of it to see what it can become. it's very much like sitting down to paint.. but i'm a horrible painter. i absolutely adore the man. i know a lot of people pigeonhole him as an egotistical bastard or low-budget guitar player, but to me, he's truly amazing. his music has a real honesty about it.. even the earlier, more heavily produced/synthesized stuff. i really. really. really. hope we get another album next year, be it rock, acoustic, or mish-mash. i will love it no matter what, i'm sure. ♥ ♥ ♥

Default SayYou Will Era Demos

I have Miranda as a demo, What's the Word Coming To and a couple of other "Lindsey songs" from that endeavor.

Some guy sold me a 2 CD set of demos/remixes of the Say You will Album.

Are these things you'd be interested in Shackin' Up?

Since I became a member of this forum only last Nov. I am hesitant to offer stuff, which may be "old stuff"...

Betsy - I'd really like to hear the demo of Miranda, I don't have that and it is one of my favourites on the album - so I'd be VERY grateful to hear it if that's possible.

Thanks to you and Vanessa, I've downloaded a couple of things from each of you that I didn't have. Cheers
