Default Front Row Tickets?

I'm sure someone has asked this / gone through it before, but what is everyone's strategy to get the best tickets? I would loooooooove to be able to go to my first Stevie Nicks concert (gasp!) and sit in the front row and see the goddess in all her glory.

So Ledgies, what are your tips and tricks?

Unfortunately StubHub or another ticket agency is the only realistic method (or luck)

That's disappointing but I will do my best to try and get there right at noon when they go and sale and hope for the best, I guess. Thanks!

Lots of people say to wait until the week of the show. The first time I saw Stevie was last August in The Woodlands and I bought my tickets way ahead of time, however I decided that I would see if I could score front row seats to the show in Dallas and see her twice! However, it didn't happen. This time around I went on the website right when the sale opened the first two sets of tickets they offered me were crap, but they third time I tried I scored second row! So I don't know really when the best time to buy them is, but I do know that if ticket master gives you crappy seats when you chose "best available" always try again. "Best available" does not mean closest to the stage in Ticketmaster's eyes. Ticketmaster sees the "best available" seats as the ones with the highest price. So 1st row and 15th row probably cost the same, ergo they are both "best available" in Ticketmaster's eyes.

1. get tickets as close to the stage as possible (just in case they don't allow people to stand.)
2. upon your arrival at the venue, find a security guard and ask them if they're allowing people to stand.
3. if so, plan accordingly. stand around the front of the venue until the show starts, and snake your way up to the stage.

most importantly--"destination unknown" by missing persons is always played immediately before stevie takes the stage. knowing this will help you determine when to get up to the front.

good luck!

Default How to get good tickets

Hello! I read the Ledge religiously and I'm completely obsessed with FM, but I'm not as knowledgeable or experienced as most of you are about concerts. The last (and only) time I saw them in concert was in 1977!

But I want to see them this summer. At Jones Beach. Tell me, please, what is the best way to get good tickets? I want to be in the "orchestra" -- I'm not sure what the right word is, that's the word you'd use for theater tickets -- the area immediately in front of the stage. I don't care about front row, I don't mind if I'm 20 rows back or on the side, but I don't want to be in the balconies.

Is this even possible? I really can't spend $500 a ticket. But I feel like this may be my last chance to see them.

Thanks for your patience with this newbie! I'd be very grateful for any advice.

i would think Mick's tickets are your best bet, but they are pretty close to $500. he has 6th floor front orchestra center available for $425, no taxes or additional charges.

I told the story on here a few times before. I scored first row tix at Stevie's show back in 2010 at the Turning Stone casino upstate NY just by calling the box office. This was about 90 minutes later of the first day of ticket sales.

It felt like I won the freaking lottery.I had the box office clerk repeat the seat location twice.

The clerk said you get better seats if you only want one seats.

The other shock was the tix prices at that show were only $100 each.

Good luck getting good seats for FM shows guys.Have Fun.

tickets usually "drop" a few days before the show.

for the pittsburgh show i got my 3rd row ticket which ended up being front row about 8 days before the show. the last time i saw them i got a front row ticket 2 days before the show so it varies but really what i do is just check ticketmaster like 50 times a day for about 2 weeks up until the day of the show. i do this for every single concert i go to and have pulled up front row for various shows quite a few times. the worst i ever sat was probably around 10th row in the last 10 years and i go to a lot of concerts every year. good luck!
