I always found her Tusk vocals very special. I know her voice was changing from wear by then but the emotive and expressive quality on that album floors me, it's my favorite thing about Stevie. So while I think the first four Mac albums have great Stevie vocals, Tusk is my favorite.

I was watching the Mirage concert on YouTube the other night and I couldn't believethe amount of vibrato in Stevie's voice.I swear it sounded like when we were kids and used to sing into the fan-you know the sound I mean?Almost annoying to the point I didn't really want to watch it(highly unusual for me!)

It's funny.. I have a problem listening to most of her material now because she's so nasal and the range is small. However, I do love the intensity she brought to that show.

I've heard a lot of fans express how they don't like that show because of her vibrato.

That is EXACTLY what it sounds like. It was really heavy during Rhiannon.

I love Stevie's vibrato - it's totally glorious to my ears.

She's so perfect on the first four albums, then the coked-out-mess that was Rock A Little happened and her voice became a nasal mess. Although I love her singing on TISL, SYW and IYD (Moonlight in particular is gorgeous, whoever said she should sing softer songs is right).

I'd probably have to go for Tusk as the album that has the best Stevie vocals, although if Smile At You had ended up on Mirage, Mirage would have walked this. Her voice had power, range and flexibility without sounding horrifically nasal.
