Default Stevie Recommends Documentary

For anyone who didn't see it, Stevie posted a few comments to Facebook yesterday about 9-11 and her experiences living through being in NY during it. This isn't the first time we've seen some of this, however, in her post, she also recommended watching a documentary called Operation Yellow Ribbon; about the air traffic controllers responsible for amazingly quickly rerouting and safely guiding the massive glut of planes to safety that were unable to land in the United States once the FAA shut down US airspace for those few days. I had never heard of this story and was intrigued.

I noticed those posts too & just had a chance to look for the documentary. It's on Youtube if anyone wants to watch. I'm about 5 minutes in & it seems pretty good, also it looks to only be about 45 minutes long.

I just watched 9/11: Control the skies. Not sure if it's the same documentary, but I think it is about the same control tower and airport site: Gander, New Foundland. It is very revealing, it's first time I saw about it. Can't imagine the uncertainty all those passengers were feeling when they were about to land, I mean what was happening.
