the most obvious example would be tango in the night, it was a bigger seller all over europe (both relatively and in actual numbers) than in the US, it sold more than 2mil. in the UK alone. it was a #1 here too and it wasn't one in the states, there are more examples but my memory's not at it's best shape either.

Well Tommer, if I'm not mistaken, Behind the Mask also did a lot better over in Europe. I have no sense of Time, but I don't see how it could have done WORSE over there than here. I don't own Time, but even with the Fleetwood Mac name, I would have assumed it would have done a lot better than it did here.

I remember thinking for a long time that England didn't care much for the American version of Fleetwood Mac, whereas the U.S. fans were far more impressed. |

Tango just went 3x platinum in the U.S. in 2000, and it peaked at #7 on the charts. If I'm not mistaken, though, Tango is their second highest selling album because of its success in other places.

I could swear that I read that Behind The Mask went to #1 in England-and what was it here?...I wanna say either 18 or 22. And also I could swear I recently read that Greatest Hits has actually outsold Tango now ?!?
