Fave closing song?
Okay, time to go to the end of the albums and choose fave closing song:
Got to Move Trying So Hard to Forget Stop Messin Around Before the Beginning Mission Bell Show Me a Smile Dust (I am NOT counting Mrs. Scarrot!! It's not a SONG!) Caught in the Rain Why Safe Harbour I'm So Afraid Gold Dust Woman Never Forget Wish You Were Here You and I, Part II The Second Time These Strange Times Don't Stop ISA wins because it's my fave song ever...then GDW and Why are 2nd and 3rd repectively. Rounding out 4th place is Dust, and 5th is You and I, Part II. Those are my ultimate fave closing songs.

Even though ISA is my 2nd fav. LB/FM song, and one of my favs of all time, Gold Dust Woman gets my vote for favourite closer....I'm not sure why!...I just think it's because I'm so used to hearing it as the last song on Rumours, the album that i've probably listened to more than on the other FM albums combined, that my "Rumours experience" would not be complete if I didn't hear GDW as the final track..!!! (And no, I don't like the DVD-A tracklist!)

I was just thinking of this yesterday!
I really like "Songbird" as a closer... with ISA or GDW second. But I would also really like to hear "The Chain"... I think it would be very interesting to hear it close the show, intead of open it. Does anyone know if they've ever done this before? Kate |

Either ISA or Don't Stop.

ISA, GDW, & the Chain would be cool. I think they have closed with it before. Actually the Chain would be real cool. It would just leave me with a good feeling you know?

Definitely, Why is my favorite closing song. It's a perfect song and it's a perfect way to end a great album. My second choice would be Wish You Were Here. And, I think Songbird should have closed Rumours, instead of Gold Dust Woman.

Why was it all wrong...
"Why"... terrific song for an ending, and my favorite Fleetwood Mac song EVER.

Has anyone else though how GDW ends like its descending into chaos, with Lindsey screaming... It's like Rumours is blending into Tusk! Just a thought

This one's easy! Gold Dust Woman for me. I don't what it is about that song, but it just really gets me...you know? And every live version I've heard of this song just blows me away.

Hands down: WHY with Before The Beginning a close second..and for a live album (which was omitted) Farmer's Daughter
Again, with my reprogramming of running order of a few albums, here are the ones that closed the albums: Bare Trees: Sunny Side Of Heaven Time: All Over Again Tusk: Over & Over

Farmer's Daughter of course!
Hi,
Well my favourite closer along with Never Forget from Tusk, remains The Farmer's Daughter from the 1980 Fleetwood Mac Live album. They are similar campfire songs with gorgeous harmonies!! I hope they will be performed live again next year! Greetings, BuckMacNicks.

"Never Forget"
It's a positive song that is great for ending the very experimental album.

Without a doubt, Why. I have yet to hear another song that packs so much emotion (yes, more emotion than Songbird) into itself without being cheezy. It truly is a work of art.

Mac Fan...
Well, maybe because I don't own the album, Time, I didn't know it was an instrumental, until I just now went to CDNow to listen to a clip...oops. Oh well...How about All Over Again in it's place?
