what live footage from the documentary is there? i'm a HUMONGOUS fan of that film....i have a tape of an alternate performance shot of "The Chain" and then there's a quick clip after that of the band leaving the stage at the end of the concert and Stevie says "goodnight you guys" and gives a little wave and that's it. The rehearsal footage is "Landslide", "Save Me a Place", "Rhiannon" and "Oh Daddy"...

is there more than this that i have yet to see??????

There's also WMYTYTO & GYOW from this, there may be another one or two but I can't think off hand, anyone else know?

Joe,
The other live footage from St. Louis that I was referring to was the alternate footage of "The Chain" plus Stevie's goodnight. As far as I know, there is no other live St. Louis footage, although I wish there was.

Ok, fine!, seeing as not a single member of The Ledge seems to have/want to post this mysterious photo, I did a bit searching and I found this on BuckinghamNicks.net....

http://www.buckinghamnicks.net/slpho...sConcert2.html

Is this the picture that we're talking about??

I simply cannot tell whether Stevie's guitar is capoed or not, but her hand position (at around the 7th and 8th frets) seems ok for GYOW...and also Lindsey looks like he's playing a C5 chord which also suggests GYOW.

Thanks so much for posting that!

See? To the folks who have implied that Stevie can't play because it was too much work, or she wasn't interested or smart enough.......

Granted I'm sure she is NOOOOOO Lindsey or Christine by a long shot, but she CAN play an instrument, and she does know a fret from a frock.

I have to give Stevie credit for being able to play a goodly bunch of guitar chords & piano chords.

It's just that I always found it fascinating that, as regards her piano playing (I can't really speak about her guitar playing), she plays exactly the same today as she did 25 years ago. When I compare her "Rhiannon" on "Enchanted" (1998) with her piano "Rhiannon" demo (1978), it's as if a day or two separated the skill level of each one instead of 20 years. It's sort of mind-boggling to me that she plays piano all the time but her facility hasn't progressed any -- hasn't even evolved. It's uncanny; I don't know of anyone else who has done or could do that, even if he tried.

Now I like her guitar playing on that one demo on "Enchanted." What is it? "Twisted"? I think she's actually a better guitar player than piano player. But I think she'd be the first to admit that she's not really an instrumentalist. I guess she just has no interest in that area. Unless she's been holding out on us ... maybe she's Lester Young's own daughter on the tenor sax.

Actually, Joe, she *does* play a mean harmonica!
That's Stevie playing it on her version of Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'."

Aw, any of them would be riot on a tenor sax or recorder!
Can you see Lindsey jamming and getting his "climax face" on say, a set of bongos or a ukelele? LMAO!!!!

Or Mick on the piccolo prancing all around?
John getting all spiritual on the cello or violin?

Find a pic of that and you've really got something! heehee!!
I agree Stevie is a better guitar player than keyboards based on what we have heard. She is pretty decent on Twisted on the Enchanted Box set.
Who knows why she hasn't evolved on the piano? I can't say. ITA, though that she would be the first to say she is not an instrumentalist, that is why she never did it on stage, thus causing the erroneous belief that she can't play anything.
