Yes, interesting. Is he implying the song was completely written and later Stevie 'tweaked' the lyrics? If so, is this another Seven Wonders- type of writing credit?

No. He is saying that he and Herron wrote the basic track. He then says Stevie later wrote a melody and lyrics to fit that track.

I remember the FM usenet group. That was a great place to hang out. I wrote a review of a solo Peter Green concert there in 2000, and in response another fan sent me a bootleg of the show.

I have another funny memory of that group. Some of us old timers were talking about B-sides ("Cool Water" and others), and some youngster chimed in on the thread: "What's a B-side?" I still occasionally chuckle over that.

KenB and Fuzzyplum, thanks for clarifying further, and I apologize for muddying the waters, so to speak. So I guess the song COULD be about Lindsey after all.

Yes! I remember you from there, too! And Mary Anne B******.

It's been a long time, huh?

I used to occasionally still check on alt.music.fm(or whatever it was), until maybe 10 years ago, when my ISP dropped Usenet. You could still purchase access to it online, but it was dying anyway, so I just let it go...
