You might want to check out the "What Are You Drinking Right Now" thread

no but seriously. SInce I know you are all so interested. when I was young, no one taught me how to put makeup on, so I would do one eye at a time to make sure it didn't come out looking like horse ****, then I would mimick (sp) that one. It was more about accuracy at that time. Now it's more about.,...time.

Lately, when I look in the mirror to begin my makeup routine, I stare in the mirror and think, lord, how can I afford plastic surgery?

See? That's why I often don't wear makeup, and don't have a routine any more. I like to avoid the mirrors until after dark, and then put makeup on by candlelight. I look really good by candlelight.

this thread deserves resurrection.

does anyone use MAC full coverage foundation? I'm curious about it's coverage, wearability and consistency.

also, anyone know a site that sells Ben Nye?

also, I got some bare minerals in Berkeley and I loved it for a week...then I realized just how dry it made my face. not a pretty sight. and it does, in fact, settle into creases and fine lines. anyone want an $80 starter kit?

You sucker. I knew that whore's cult like following & creepy sales girls were a bit off.

I tried that Revlon foundation Dee raved about. Hate it. I'm holding out for Clinique's cream foundation, which I used to love. Refuse to buy it until there's a free gift offer, though.

jazzy-I meant to ask you something and am glad this thread got revived. I put hairspray on my eyebrows sometimes to get them to stay in place. Do you do that? or is there something else you use?? you know..from one eyebrow person to another

I don't know about MAC, But I can tell you Jazzy, that the absolute best foundation/powder/cover-stick combo is Prescriptives. They do an absolute bang on colour match to your complexion and it wears very light, but very even. And once you've had your complexion "read" then you can blindly buy other make-up items without the guess work. For instance, I'm a blue-red. So I go to the blue-red section and everything there - lipsticks, eyeshadows, blushes, etc. make me look like a freakin' movie star. The stuff isn't cheap, but it's sooooo worth it.

I have no clue how to apply makeup and I'm nearly 30. I can do the smokey eye thing, not too hard to smudge liner when it's not even anyway. Throw some Burt's Bees on my lips and maybe some masacara. No idea where to begin with foundations and powders.
