Her sexiest vocals are on Beauty And The Beast and Nightbird.

I agree that the background/duet vocals of the 1976-78 period are just amazing examples of her voice during that period; everything she did with Walter Egan and John Stewart especially Midnight Wind and Tunnel of Love. Whoever got the Whenever I Call You Friend vocal out of her also deserves a medal, it's unbeatable. With that said though, it's hard not to recognize her early Mac singing as being the best: Gold Dust Woman, Silver Springs, Dreams and Rhiannon, her singing was so good, spot on, passionate and timeless. Around the mid-Rumours tour, she was starting to get tired and entered a period of inconsistency that haunted her like a monkey on her back for the rest of her career. After that period, she did give us Sleeping Angel, Edge of Seventeen and even some great stuff in the new millenium including Moonlight and 24 K (the song). The highs and lows were shocking actually, a notable example being the Rock a Little period to the Street Angel period where one night she knocked it out of the park only to dial it in a few nights later.

Both Silver Springs (The Dance) and Beautiful Child (Live in Boston) are amazing vocals. Everybody Loves You, with its direct and flexible delivery, is also, as are a number of tracks on 24KG. I actually prefer her latter day vocals for their clarity and strength.

I heard Jon Stewats' 'Gold' today, which I haven't heard in years (probably 1982, or so.) And I had completely forgotten that Stevie had provided backing vocals. And in my honest opinion, I think her voice sounded great. Plus, hearing it today reminded me how much I like that song.

At Last

the Mirror Mirror outtake from Street Angel

and the RAL outtake of Lady From the Mountain

ETA: how could i forget B&TB. Any live version from 2006 really or the Vegas 05 one

and the RAW unedited HoB show in 1994 when she was super sick. I get chills listening to some of those songs. You could tell they were an effort and the whole show is marvellous.
