Hey, I knew I had seen "Smile At You" listed as newly recorded in 1999 before, and now I found it! There it is, right in the middle of other songs that were demoed for Trouble In Shangri-la, and possibly fully-recorded. From the U.S. Copyright Office:

Stevie said she pulled off a few finished songs from TISL in order to give to FM for their new album. And we know that "Thrown Down" was fully-recorded for TISL, not just a demo. So, perhaps full TISL versions of "Smile At You" and "Not Make Believe" are IN THE VAULT.

I wonder how much BETTER the TISL version would have been than LB's abortion version on Say You Will (although I like Stevie's vocals on it).

Oh, and look: "Bombay Sapphire" doesn't have an "s" at the end. It is about the gin, Stevie! You liar...

OMFG!!!! "Blue Water" re-submitted in 1997!???!!!!!! Stevie's original submission is in 1978, and the copyright had not lapsed, and here is "Blue Water" in the middle of a bunch of new songs she wrote in the Late 1990s!

Submitted the same date as many of these recordings is one called "Two Of Us", written by Stevie & Rick Nowells. So, it's not "Two Kinds Of Love", which was co-written with Rupert Hine.

Stevie did two new demos for "Planets Of The Universe" in the Late 1990s (as well as "Chanel, Chanel", written only in 1984), so I'm just wondering if she did a new 1996/1997 demo for "Blue Water" and maybe "The Charmed Ones (Song For The City Of Hope)" as well. It was only written 15 years earlier in 1982.
