Rank the Mac Guitarists

How do you rank the Mac guitarists--as guitarists? Who, for example, is the most versatile and musically open? Who is the most far-reaching in terms of sound and technique?

For a moment, don't consider songwriting or vocals.


Here's my list:

1. Peter Green

2. Danny Kirwan

3. Bob Weston

4. Lindsey Buckingham/ Bob Welch

5. Rick Vito

6. Jeremy Spencer

7. Billy Burnette

8. Dave Mason

It's an impressive list of players. Not one of them is a weak player.

For me it's a tie for first place between Peter Green and Lindsey Buckingham.

Songwriting abilities aside, they are both incredible players.
