Would it have anything to do with her not knowing the song and when to come in as was shown in the video? If she does not perform Sara because of Chris's passing then why is she doing Dreams or Rhiannon where Chris sang back up. Not to mention she is singing a tribute to Christine in the show. So she can get through that but not Sara?

I now have considered Stevie has dropped songs since On With the Show, right? She dropped Seven Wonders. On 24 Karat Gold, she dropped Annabel Lee and then New Orleans at the end of the tour. FM 2018 she and they dropped Storms and All Over Again (I know it's Chris' song but they sang equal parts), and this 2022-2023 tour she dropped Moonlight, Rock and Roll, and now Sara.

However, she also said she wanted to do Silver Springs on her Crystal Visions Tour so there could be songs she feels that should only be done with FM. Having seen this 2023 Sara live, it felt very empty unlike FM's versions.

I don't believe it either. She is a name dropper and always tries to give things more significance by including other celebrities in her decisions.

I feel for the backup singer that made this comment when unexpectedly asked why Sara was dropped. Does anyone really believe she was going to say "Stevie really struggled with that song on stage" So I believe it was an easy excuse to say because it reminds her too much of Chris.

She has been performing Free Fallin for years and has no issues of it reminding her of Tom. She should drop For What Its Worth because it reminds her of JFK and Martin Luther King.

Free Fallin’ will never leave her setlist. Interesting she does For What It’s Worth considering her version didn’t even chart.

5 hours until The Queen takes the stage in Houston!

Stevie awoke around 1pm at The Four Seasons Hotel downtown near the concert venue. What time is hair and makeup? Around 6pm?

Let's go!

WTF would she be doing FM with, exactly?? First, John is done done done touring. But let's play along and assume either he will change his mind (have to go buy a bunch of new guitars) OR they replace him with someone else, which is a motherf****** disgrace. Would it just be her and Mick then?? with her backup singers?? FM without Chris still had two front people/singers. BuckVie without Stevie still had two front people/singers. FM with no Chris AND no Lindsey.....??? That's not FM, that's the Stevie Show. Explain to me how that's in anyway different to her solo shows, except with Mick on drums??

Or does "FM" mean Stevie with Neil and Mike up front????? Egads. Stevie and Mick, supported by Neil and Mike. Do they drop Christine's songs?? Does Neil do double duty and sing Lindsey's AND Chris's songs?? Does Stevie sing Chris's material? (can you say sh*tshow?) WTF.

This comment from Marilyn Martin is such delusional PR spin on behalf of Stevie. Stevie just wants to tour solo but just won't bring herself to shut the door to FM. Is that loyalty to Mick??

Just to be clear then, should there be some FM thing that she "would never say never" to that would include just her and Mick supported by (maybe) Neil and/or Mike, and then all of Stevie's solo band....???

though sadly, there are clueless people who would buy those tickets...

Looking forward to WatchChain's experience! I saw this show and found it pretty much like the 24 Karat Gold Tour in its structure (storytelling)

It's really amazing that she played 10 of the same songs that she did at Toyota Center the last time she played there 7 years ago and then she also sang two covers this year (Free Fallin' and For What It's Worth) - in 2016, she sang all of her own songs. And she played in the Houston area last year so the only different songs people got last night were I Sing For the Things and Fall From Grace.

Then again, maybe most of the people at the show last night were kids who have never seen her live before.

My hunch is that her concert promoter told her to play ALL her Fleetwood Mac hits since Fleetwood Mac does not exist anymore. For the first time since her very early solo days, she was performing every Fleetwood Mac single hit that made the top 15. She does not do that. I believe she was told to do Sara. She flubbed it and did not like it and killed it in the set. But of course no one can admit that so Christine was the throw down excuse.

Considering she does radio songs that weren’t chart hits like Landslide and Gold Dust Woman, imagine if she sang I Don’t Want to Know and Silver Springs with Al Ortiz or Waddy?
Seven Wonders could go in her solo set, it wasn’t Top 15 but it is a radio song. Though I don’t know if Ricky and Waddy could play it as well as Brett and Lindsey did for OWTS.

A very good Edge of Seventeen from Houston. Stevie really getting into the groove of her dance.

One moment was funny where she couldn't remember to sing "Oh, she says somewhere deep in the middle of the night..." She got it back quickly.

I cant bare to watch ever since she skips the most epic bridge in rock "The sky never expects it ..........."
2:50 into the song she's already at "I hear you in the morning" Then its 6 more minutes of rubbish.
Why
Why
Why

Would Bob Dylan remove verses from Like A Rolling Stone. Would Mick Jagger skip a verse in Start Me Up for 6 minutes of instrumental rubbish about a night bird crying?

For real
Just my opinion
For what its worth

The show was fine. Since I've been participating in this concert going ritual since 1977 at the age of 7 years old, going to see Fleetwood Mac or Stevie Nicks in some form is just a sentimental habit. I've accepted that the set list will not change much. My new philosophy is that I have only a few years left to see them/her live, so I'll happily participate.

The only factor that is hard to digest is the new technology that uses pre-recorded backing tracks to add layer to live shows. It's not just Stevie, all of the old bands are using them.

We had seats on the far-right side 5 rows from the stage - excellent view! HOWEVER, the sound was odd and distorted. The reverb coming off of the backing tracks had an annoying echo that was absolutely jarring. It's like she was singing into a psychedelic echo chamber. Her touring operation has downsized substantially - There are only 6 musicians playing onstage (plus the two backup singers). But those backing tracks designed to fill out the sound are torture. We sat in this exact same section for previous tours and the sound wasn't this bad.

Whatever the case, I have to accept the fact that Stevie is 75 years old. Spins are gone. What can any of us do at 75? I'm 53 and I already get tired, so I can only imagine 75. I'm trying to be more understanding of her advanced age and the fact that she needs backing tracks and other tools to make touring easier. It is what it is. We had a good time singing some great old songs (wine helps enhance the experience). If we are lucky, we might have about 8 more years left with Stevie alive, so let's just enjoy the experience for what it is, precious memories and the soundtrack of our lives. Reverb and all!

Thank you so much WatchChain! Did she mention Lahaina, Maui, Mick’s restaurant during the show?

How was I Sing For the Things?

Was the arena full to the roof?

We left at the beginning of "Rhiannon" to avoid the crowd and catch an UBER.
Up to that point, she had not mentioned Maui. However, I do have a feeling that she probably mentioned Maui right before the last song, "Landslide".

Before "For What It's Worth", we appreciated her words about the importance of voting and the need to heal the heated political landscape. It is obvious the divisive political candidate who she was referring to - without naming names.

"I Sing for the Things" was magical - it was such a treat to hear this beautiful deep cut live in concert. The best part of the song was watching a middle-aged woman down in the very front row joyfully dancing slowly and singing EVERY word of "I Sing for the Things" with her hands held out. You could definitely tell who the true fans were. At least 70% of the arena were casual bandwagon fans - but you could still spot the true believers.

The arena was mostly full, with only a few empty seats. With the substantial price drop during the last week, the ticket sales seemed to pick up. The local radio station was also giving away tons of free tickets to call in winners.

The jarring reverb of the pre-recorded backing tracks is annoying, but it was a great evening.

I'm not sure I noticed pre-records. Obviously the string recording before Gold Dust Woman and I think some of the Free Fallin' chorus which Tom actually had in his own show.

Did she hit the "Go Hoooome" in Gold Dust Woman?
