Default Fleetwood Mac in The Blues Magazine

Hello folks!

I've just got hold of the Peter Green/Fleetwood Mac issue of The Blues Magazine (no.10).
It covers the early years (Muskrats and Looners), via Mayall and up to the release of the "Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac" LP. It says that the article is based on new interviews, but I can't find any info about when the interviews where done. Some quotes are definately from many years back. The people interviewed/quoted are Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, John Mayall, Mike Vernon, Mike Ross (engineer), Dave Ambrose (Peter B's Looners), Beryl Marsden (Shotgun Express), Stan Webb (Chicken Shack), Neil Slaven.

It's mostly old and well-known stuff. A couple of rare photos, including one nice photo of Peter and Jeremy doing harmony vocals in the studio. Peter's comments are not very long or many, and do not really say anything new. I wonder whether they are new or taken from older interviews. Peter talking about Jeremy joining the band: "I could see he was little villain, you know? I thought I'd give it a try."

I guess the interviews of Jeremy and Mick, and perhaps also John McVie and John Mayall, are new. Jeremy has one especially touching comment: "Peter was straightforward, intuitive and a deep thinker. I think I brought to the band a kind of happy-go-lucky bawdiness, I suppose, but we related on musical and even what could be termed mystical wavelenghts. We still do, in a similar way, during our infrequent interactions on telephone."

It's good to hear that they keep in touch from time to time. I mean... how many people do we keep in touch with from the period when we were 20-23 years old?? I don't keep in touch with many from that time, even though we had a lot of fun and were great friends....

Imagine if these guys would get together and play some good old blues...
Not because of the show-biz of it, but because they really have something to say. As opposed to Bieber and Cyrus... SORRY! I'm drifting.......... And I'm making the band member roll their eyes......
But it's pretty amazing that we're discussing this band (or rather "band line-up") yeas after year at the Ledge Forum. It's over 40 years since they quit!!!!! So they DO have some kind of magic.

Anyway, I'm glad we have this place, The Ledge Forum. It's nice chatting with you folks! Let's keep on in the coming year(s).
Wishing you all a Happy New Year!!!!!
Best regards from Daniel in Norway.

Yep! Happy New Year everybody!

Thinking of John Mc Vie and hoping he's getting on OK and that 2014 will be a good one for him !

I think you're right about some of the material coming from old interviews.
