Default Le Chateau, Herouville

Ok, I was reading threads about Benifolds, Kiln House, Sausalito, etc.

Mirage was recorded at Le Chateau, Herouville, France . Has anybody been there? (I think is the same elton John's Honky Chateau)

I've never been there - but yeah, it's the same place where Elton recorded.

I know Catdancer has been there. She's talked about it before. I think she was there while they were recording Mirage. I'll do a search of her posts and see if I can find it.

You're right, I've been there for about 3 weeks and I met everyone except Mick. It was a long time ago, May 1981, and we (Jackie and I) had to sleep in a bus shelter because there weren't any hotels. Herouville was a very small town, it wasn't even on the map (at least not back then). It had 9 streets, 2 stores and one church (which was always closed...). From what I know Elton John recorded there and so did the Bee Gees. There were 2 buildings: on the left were the living quarters and on the right the studio. In order to get to the studio they had to walk through the front garden. Looking back I think they would've seen us as stalkers because we were there all the time. I think they've spent 6 weeks there, we left after 3 weeks (needed a shower.....). This pic of me and Stevie was taken there.

Thanks!!! As you can see we were both a lot younger at the time.....
It also looks like we were the same height but that wasn't the case. Even though she wore platforms, I was taller than she was. I'm 5'8" and I had to bend my knees to be as "tall" as she was... And my knees were shaking, I bet she felt that
