Default Oh Daddy Cover...by Beanie Sigel?

For those who don't know, Beanie Sigel is a gansta rapper who was incarcerated for a while. He came back and put out a new album with a track that was called "Oh Daddy." And I thought to myself, "no way in hell..." But I looked up the lyrics , and though 90% of the lyrics are different, the chorus is still "you know you make me cry..How can you love me? I can't understand why.."

So has anyone else heard this? And if so, can you give me the details, because the itunes preview doesn't get to the chorus...

The Vh1.com listening sample includes the chorus: http://www.vh1.com/artists/az/sigel_...12/album.jhtml

Obviously it's not a sample of the Fleetwood Mac recording, but I have no idea if the vocal and beat were recorded specifically for this album or if he's sampling some different recording of the song. Anybody recognize it from somewhere else? (Incidentally, the album also includes a track called "Don't Stop," but I don't think that one has any relation to the Rumours track of the same title.)

It sounds like they took the old oh daddy and just sped it up so the voice was all helium sounding.

No, it's clearly a different recording, with different inflections in the vocal. Seems to be about the same tempo as the original, as well.

The helium voice also says "can't understand why" instead of the Rumours version of "don't understand why".

Here's the song "Oh Daddy". And "Don't Stop" from the same cd has nothing in common with the FM version.

Thanks! Do you have the album? Any information into the liner notes as to the source recording of the "Oh Daddy" sample?
