Yeah, who knows what he really thinks. Lindsey is very good at keeping those real thoughts private I guess, and all we get is some very seemingly casual reply. But I sort of dig that about him.

Yeah, I love his little smirks and smiles. I can almost see the wheels turning under all that hair. LOL

Yeah, it makes me extremely sad to hear that Lindsey of ALL people has finally caved to the pressure of making FM a purely oldies act. I don't know, I guess it's the eternal optimist in me, but I still think Fleetwood Mac's best music is potentially ahead of them. This group of musicians have been perfecting their respective crafts individually and collectively for 4 decades now. The possibility for new music from Fleetwood Mac is almost limitless. They could make such a profound, high quality statement if they wished. The only thing stopping them is... them.

I thought that was a total 180 from where he was in 2003. He was the one trying to propel them forward. It's a bit surprising.

Did Lindsey's voice quaver a bit when he said, "Yes" ?

Larry David had an epsode this season where they were saying if your voice gets higher when you answer a question, that means you're lying.

I agree. I was thinking about that the other day. I actually think that might be the whole deal behind the Big Machine/Little Machine blather. I think, in some ways, he's trying to justify the whole thing to himself. And, that's okay. No one can be idealistic all the time (especially when he's the only one in the group doing it) but...it has to bother him, on some level, beyond belief.

Sometimes, you just have to talk the talk to try and make yourself believe something you don't.

And, IMO (and I would guess nearly everyone on the Ledge), he's right. Might be a huge commercial risk--but...you have extremely talented people not using their talent.

I bet he did say something about it before he played SWS, but they cut it out. That guy interviewing him....something about him seems too smooth or too fake....almost like he's trying to trap Lindsey into saying the wrong thing!!

I know that this audience cares mostly about Brad and Angelina and the only way to sneak an interview with some one as obscure as Lindsey Buckingham is to disguise it as something else, but it really makes me mad. I'd almost rather he not be on the show. Let Fleetwood Mac do Extra. I don't see the point of promoting his new album on there. Of all the many viewers that show has, I doubt that any of them are going to buy his album due to that interview. He just does not fit their demographic.
