Post 12 October 1982 - Mirage Tour and Rhiannon

Sorry to disrupt everyone's 24KG fun, but I just thought I'd interject some interesting information. This is Stevie's first painting, dedicated to Robin Anderson after she died.

Well, it's dated 12/10/1982 (10/12/1982 for Americans) and that was also the night of the Mirage tour in Memphis, TN. So, to commemorate one of my favourite Mirage tour concerts, have Sara, which was performed 32 years ago tonight. ♥

I'm stunned! I never knew this existed. For so many years I only had one crappy low- fi rehearsal track. This one is amazing. A few things I noticed -- Stevie screwed up a few of the lyrics, and omitted some other lyric lines. (no"hours and hours of waiting for you, so strong and so fleeting").

I love the vocals at the end, when Lindsey and Christine finally chime in, but Christine doesn't harmonize with Stevie on the verses like she does on the record, nor does she do those little twinkly piano runs. The track mysteriously fade out. I'm just making observations, not complaining!

I wonder who made the decision to omit it from the set list. It was an unfortunate choice.
