I know that HDD counts album sales from different sources as they update so there is every chance that the album could increase from this number.

There will likely be another update in a few hours so I'll keep everyone updated. I hope it rises from this position though otherwise the album won't last very long at all.

Just to remind everybody, the album started last week at #7 with sales of 33,000. I think it'll be around #25 with sales of around 13,000.

The album is still within the Amazon top 20 chart and I'm sure physical CD sales are doing quite well, so what do you guys think?
Great news everybody! Somehow, the album has climbed dramatically since HDD's last update and the final numbers has '24 Karat Gold' at #24 with sales of approximately 12,000. Now, I think you can gather from the quote above that my prediction was pretty accurate!
Anyway, I think that is a VERY respectable second week for an album from an artist of her age and there is also the chance that it could be even higher on the Billboard 200 as last week there was a major difference between HDD and SoundScan.

I have a feeling that the first update from HDD takes into account digital sales as I know that '24 Karat Gold' is no longer selling many digital copies so that is my theory anyway.

So fantastic news, and I think we should all be very pleased with this. Hopefully the album will see a few more weeks on the charts after all!

HDD put the album at #24 with nearly 12,000 sold whereas SoundScan has put the album at #30 with sales of nearly 10,000. Unfortunately Billboard uses SoundScan!

Still a very respectable second week though.

I don't think I'm going to look anymore at this thread. It's always such a pick-me-up.

I just received the latest Rolling Stone issue.

1. Jason Aidean
2. Hozier
3. Barbra Streisand
4. Tony Bennett/Lady Gaga
5. Weezer
6. Blake Shelton
7. Stevie Nicks

Stevie: Still Golden

Nicks is currently on the road with Fleetwood Mac's reunion tour, but she still had time to finish this set of solo tracks. It moved 33,000 copies in Week One.

I feel it's useless to worry and be so obsessive about charts or sales numbers. Her record is a celebrated success artistically, critically and otherwise. Understandably, as hard core fans we are more emotionally invested in her success; we want to see the album topping the charts for months and selling millions.

It's in our best interests to lower our expectations. Stevie is still a viable artist, still giving us reasons to follow her. She is forever a cultural icon who will be remembered long after many of the currently popular artists fall into relative obscurity.

Débuted on the World Charta with 44K then another 13 in the US alone in week two. That is at least 57K.

Speaking of so called country Jason Aldean is not on my radar. He is overrated to the max.I'm not a fan.

I'm so glad that Stevie has push her way up to the top.

I'm glad to see Barbra Streisand is still strong along with my parents favorite
Tony Bennett with Lady Gaga.I dont thing my late parents will enjoy Lady Gaga though.

I think Barbra's old friend Niel Diamond is coming out with a new album soon of has already.

I agree.Stevie will be remembered long and not forgotten like todays crop of manufactured artists and some past artists in the last 25 years to that matter.

Oh yes, without a doubt Nicks is in a league of her own. Here she is in her mid-60s still hitting the Top 10 with studio album releases, 35 years into a solo career. And she's a pop culture fixture. Her legacy is set.

In fact, if one was able to put the probable politics aside, I think there's plenty of evidence to support her being inducted to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame as a solo act.

Oh, ok. I was referring to just the US. It has probably sold about 60k worldwide so far and has sold 43k in the US.
