thanks for the info. That's excellent news. Stevie's harmony singing on Fundamental Roll is some of her best.
Can't wait!

You can also buy a copy on eBay. I bought the double album package even though I already own both albums on cd (the official cd release of Not Shy and a burned copy of Fundamental Roll from vinyl. I also have both on vinyl). The liner notes are very cool and detailed. I had no idea that Walter Egan wrote Magnet and Steel for Miss Stevie! You learn something new everyday

Well, I just got a copy and it sounds to me like they burned FR from vinyl. I mean, it's vinyl in good shape and all but vinyl nonetheless. Just thought I'd say this in case some wish to know about this angle of it is all.

Well that is a serious let-down, as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for telling us, John.

Boy, what a warning that is for all of us. It's a damned shame that CD transfers for official releases aren't consistently quality-driven.

Can I say how excited I am about Fundamental Roll appearing on CD!! My copy is on its way and I can't wait! Now we need Wild Exhibitions on CD and then it will be complete for me.

I have no problem w/ this being mastered from vinyl. If it's done properly, it's OK. You can't beat that creamy production value - and it comes through best on vinyl. This goes for Buckingham Nicks and the white album as well.
(although it would be nice to have a cd version of B/N that's from the original master)

This is from Walter Egan's site (www.walteregan.net) for anyone interested. I know I'll be ordering a copy of the live cd! Walter rocks!

On October 11th, 2004 Walter wrote:
"As I get ready for this week's trip to England where I will be playing at the Cavern Club in Liverpool (yeahyeahyeah), and the release of my first two LPs on CD, I wanted to tell you about the next gig for my band..."

Update from Walter on November 22, 2004:
"I have copies of the long anticipated English release, The Meaning of Live, which is a live recording from 1978 available for $20 (which includes shipping and handling)...I only have a few left of the double LP cd, Fundamental Roll / Not Shy, but should have more soon. This also is $20. Send money orders or certified checks to Walternative Recordings, 912 Rebel Circle, Franklin, TN 37064...and indicate if you would like it autographed...as to gigs, on December 4th I will make an appearance at Bean Town in the Grassland area of Franklin, on Hillsboro Road; it starts at 7 pm. And I will be taking part in the Imagine No Handguns Tribute to John Lennon on December 10th at the Exit Inn in Nashville, along with my band."

Which of the following are you talking about?

1. Buckingham / Nicks LP audio quality
2. Gourmet frozen yogurt
3. Porn

i was talking about Fundamental Roll -
and compared it to B/N and the Fleetwood Mac/Fleetwood Mac album

I know - it was just random thoughts...typically inarticulate.

But I did like your 70's references to frozen yogurt and porn.

Very Boogie Nights of you.
