Billboard thought their performance on Ellen was "charming". Not sure that's the kind of reaction you look for in a rock band. Or even an adult contemporary band. Charming is for the likes of Justin Bieber. Or Taylor Swift maybe. Not seasoned veterans.

Shame indeed for singing the Chain, it was an insult.

Maybe after she's done with AHS, she'll appear in The OA.

It's not that Lindsey is gone.

It's that now we see, if there was ever doubt, that the band's integrity (or what was left of it) is totally gone.

It's bad enough to take to the road when the remaining original singers can no longer perform up to par vocally or, it appears with Chris, not even as musicians and they have to have a shadow band playing for them, but then to add two new members of the caliber of Mike Campbell and have them act as stand-ins makes them nothing but an oldies cover band. (Think about how it would be if the Heartbreakers had called in Lindsey to go on the road and sing Tom's songs......gag)

It's sad. It's embarrassing. It poops on whatever credibility they had left.

That's what is upsetting everyone. As mad as I am about the whole LB debacle, part of me would be impressed as hell if SN and CM were up there really knocking it out of the park. Far from it. It's one thing if they're all up there in the Rumours5 lineup sucking together. When they're up there sucking with replacement players, it's just sad.

The rule in showbiz is to go out on top, go out leaving the crowd wanting more. At this rate they'll go out with people saying the last tour should have been the last.
All THIS. Well said.

After listening and watching the clip again, it struck me.
Yes they would have sounded better with Lindsey, BUT

Just as boring....I’ve heard these songs a thousand times.
Even tho Gypsy is a favourite I am fed up with the same old stuff
At a LIVE concert I know it’s different, different atmosphere etc
But a new song or two is sorely needed.

Funny that, apparently there was this bloke named Lindsey Buckingham who had been pushing for new material since 2009...... NM lets fire him and butcher The Chain on an international platform.

I thought the performances were ok. Not a lot of passion but that is due to their age. I think they are making the same mistake when Rick and Billy were hired. Stop trying to duplicate Lindsey. Put your own licks on the song.
IMHO, it would have been better if Mike blew the audience out of their seats with intense guitar playing. Instead we get a toned down Mike trying to duplicate Lindsey. I understand what they are doing but it would be refreshing to hear something different. Highlight the changes instead of masking them. I may be in the minority on this one. Stevie truly is the front person to this band now. Its like Stevie's Mac now.

My 9 year old nieces chorus concert was “charming”. Wait til I tell her she got the same Billboard review as Fleetwood Mac.
