they will NOT do the full extended version of this song on ellen-- that's not how tv goes. You get shorter blocks of time and do shortened versions of songs. He would be able to show how well he can do the riff, and *maybe* an incredibly brief "solo".

So if one tribute band can play it, another should be able to, too.
Oh my.

I think SYLM would work well with the "New Mac". And possibly "Seven Wonders" to promote Stevie's upcoming appearance on AHS. So yeah, those are my picks.

I can't believe it took that long to get some love for this post....

Although I remember that three people posted at the exact same moment, so I feared it's humor might get buried.

Although if you ever get the chance to see the OTHER FM tribute band, I highly recommend them. My last FM ticket was $350. My last Rumours ATL ticket was $10!!! Especially for you Chiffonheads. Their $tevie IS the show. $he's awesome!

There's a band called "Rumours of FM" playing Cincinnati tomorrow night. I heard they're pretty good. Tickets are $20- $25. Is this the same band you are talking about?

Hey, we could go to one of these, see Lindsey, have dinner and drinks and still pay less than paying for the "Real FM"!

Amen to that. We could have dinner, drinks, see the show, and probably pay for our hotel too, for what we would pay to see that new tribute band.

I think both those bands sound good. At least those Stevies can hit the high notes. Who needs expensive "new tribute bands"?!

Exactly! They wouldn't hire those Stevies if they had a 3 note singing range!

Well she could here, and it is an amazing vocal and video by my favorite band of all time. Ahhhhhhhhhh, so good!

One of my song nominations for Ellen.

At the 1:17-1:21 mark, Lindsey seems to be screwing up his face at Stevie's high notes.

not that they WILL but this new band SHOULD perform the Crowded House deep cut/minor hit "Weather With You" instead of "Don't Dream it's over". WWY is perfect for Christine to harmonize with Neil. Even Stevie could have some decent harmony vocals here....and it's one of his best songs.

Agreed, WWY is a better, more uplifting option if they are going to play a CH hit. Just because Don't Dream it's Over is the most widely known hit certainly doesn't mean it's their best and most appropriate song...I actually find it a bit depressing

But they won't play a CH song on Ellen, I think Stevie will push for Seven Wonders to plug her AHS role....and then maybe Little Lies, SYLM or Everywhere from Chris.
