So happy for her, and for her fans. This is vindication for those long years in the late 1980s/early 1990s when she was considered a kind of silly has-been (at least by the male rock establishment).

Maybe this’ll make her more forgiving toward Lindsey. I hope that for them personally even more than musically!

Unfortunately, this will probably only lead to more bad behavior.

This induction is confirmation in her mind that the universe approves, and she's made the right decisions...

I'll restate my prediction here that Dave Grohl will be the one to give the induction speech.

Where would Lindsey be today if Mick hadn't asked him to join FM? He'd probably be a roadie or a studio musician. Let me know when the RARHOF inducts him for his solo career. I won't hold my breath. It's a shame none of Stevie's star quality and power rubbed off on him.

Congrats to Stevie! She's the only member of FM who has had any relevance as a solo artist. She deserves this accolade. Haters gonna hate.

Even though I am disappointed in Stevie's behavior regarding FM (not wanting to record and Lindsey's firing) I am glad she got in.

Should be an interesting speech. I'm looking forward to her induction and set list for the show.

Jimmy Iovine will introduce and induct her
She owes everything to him. For Pete's sake, he hid her in the basement so Tom Petty would not get upset.

Very impressed with the list. I would have liked the 7th one to be Todd Rundgren instead of Janet but overall the voters did a great job. Now we turn to who inducts each artist. And will Brian Eno show up.

Stevie Nicks Finally Made It to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Her Own

Fleetwood Mac is back on tour, with four of the original members united again after their reunion tour in 2015. But today, the news belongs to Stevie Nicks alone. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced Thursday morning that Nicks will be a 2019 inductee, along with Janet Jackson, Def Leppard, The Cure, Radiohead, Roxy Music, and the Zombies.

Nicks, 70, has been in the music business for more than 50 years, and Fleetwood Mac, the band that was basically one big breakup, was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1998. 1977’s Rumours is arguably their biggest album, but that was also the year that they imploded. During the recording process, every single band member had broken up with their significant others—all members of Fleetwood Mac.

Moving on from the band’s topsy-turvy history, Nicks forged a solo career on the strength of her album Bella Donna and hits like “Edge of Seventeen” and “Leather and Lace,” with plenty of Grammy nods along the way. She has also made witchy, dark looks with shawls galore a status symbol of their own. The Hall of Fame noted her fashion influence in its write-up, calling her “rock and roll’s mystic poet.” They continued, “The unmistakable vocal timbre of Stevie Nicks’s voice has dominated rock. Nicks brought velvet and chiffon into the leather-and-denim world of rock, infusing sounds she admired from the acid rockers and Laurel Canyon singer-songwriters with a hint of black magic.”

This is wonderful, I can't wait to know who's gonna perform and which songs are being performed at the ceremony. I think that probably if he hadn't passed away Tom would have been the one to present her induction or at least would have given a performance for the occasion, but unfortunately that's not possible anymore.

And if she hadn’t worked crap jobs so he could stay home, smoke weed, and hone his lead skills, he wouldn’t have gotten good enough to get Mick’s attention. Furthermore, she had to convince him to join.

No, Lindsey didn’t have a hand in her solo success. Again, while he tinkered with his studio toys, she was on the road doing the heavy lifting.

LoL. I knew she'd get inducted and I knew the naysayers would be bitter and complain here. There's really no reason to argue back and forth. Stevie made it! 😋🌷

Hey, I made a video in her support to get in even though I’m mad her. I didn’t think she would get in because there were people in the media bitching about her nomination and she ticked people off.
