Christine McVie estate sells rights to her music….again?
It’s seems the estate of Christine McVie has sold the rights to her music. I’ve got to say…..I’m so confused. I thought she sold everything off when she initially left the band. Then I’m pretty sure there was a story about her selling the rights a couple of years ago. Now this. I don’t get it. I’m confused as it mentions her share in hits such as Go Your Own Way, Dreams and Landslide. I didn’t realise she’d have any financial interests in he songs of other songwriters. I’m guess as a musician she has some rights. IDK!!!!!!

The songwriters would own/be able to sell the publishing rights of the songs they themselves wrote (ie, control how they could be used for example if they could be recorded by other artists or recorded for commercials etc)
