I remember seeing them in Chicago. They were so cute together.

100,000,000x better than her tour with Rod Stewart.

I loved this tour. Probably my very favorite. I was so disappointed when Stevie and Rod finally made it to Pittsburgh and there was no interaction with each other at all. Not like on the first leg.

Even when they interacted, it wasn't nearly as good as Stevie and Don.

There was a level of affection and mutual respect for each other as artists between Stevie and Don. That was missing with Stevie and Rod. He couldn't even be bothered to read the lyrics correctly off of the teleprompter for her duets!

On a more positive note, one of my favorites from that tour was when she and Don did Gold Dust Woman together, especially that dance at the end (in the video below, it starts about 6:51):

This song is very nice.

What was that song she did with Don on his album a few years ago? Nobody really talked about it, but it had a great Stevie vocal: understated, sober, tonic.

I remember when Rod and Stevie appeared on "Ellen" together to promote the tour.
I didn't feel any chemistry between them at all.
And Rod seemed really snooty towards Stevie during the interview.

Agreed. Now I'm not one to heckle, but one of the girls I went with to the Stevie/Rod show in Nashville was so annoyed with Rod that she actively gave him 'tude during his set because she felt he was so disrespectful towards Stevie (we were in the front). I did give him a glare when he was messing up on the lyrics, though. I guess for anyone looking down at us with our crescent moon necklaces, it wasn't hard to see where our loyalties lay.

The Stevie/Rod tour was misguided IMHO. Stevie showed Don respect and came out during his time to sing songs. Rod would never to that with Stevie although she came out on this stage. Rod treated Stevie like an opening act.
