I thought whole lotta trouble was a cover?

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Nope. She wrote it with Mike Campell.

I've replaced "When I See You Again" with "Joan of Arc" and "You And I pt 2" with "You and I pt 2". Works a lot better.

You mean You And I Part 1. I like that one, too.

I forgot that You and I are Buckingham/McVie tunes.

I like the "Stevie-less" TINT mixes.

You & I, pt. 1
Big Love
Everywhere
Caroline
Tango In The Night
Mystified

Can't Help Falling In Love
Down Endless Street
Little Lies
Family Man
Isn't It Midnight
You & I, pt. 2

Down Endless Street
Heart of Stone
Family Man

The idea of a Stevie-less Fleetwood Mac album, but with Chris and Lindsey, sounds really refreshing.
I finally saw In Your Dreams recently and kind of wished I hadn't. It was so self-indulgent -- a home movie that really did very little other than feed her ego. I thought from about the point of the Soldier's Angel story to the end was the most interesting. But for the most part, it was too close of a look into someone who I'd rather know through just her voice and harmonies.

Christine and Lindsey are a breath of fresh air. It's all about the music for them and it's kind of nice that way. You get the music without the overboard narcissism.
I hope Stevie is on the new Fleetwood Mac album; but I'd also find it really interesting if she wasn't.

It would be very interesting to have and I would certainly enjoy reading the critics' take on that album too. I know it would not sell well.

It's important to remember that if they did record without Stevie, there's no reason it would have to be the last FM album. In fact, recording without her would probably ensure it would not be their last. Just as they all say they didn't want to leave FM with Mirage being the final word from the band, none of them would want to leave the band with a Stevie-less FM album as their sign-off. So, they could record without Stevie in 2015, if she's not ready to participate and then convene for a "final" album with her in 2017.

But if Stevie is willing to do one last "5 Fireflies" album to cap their legacy, why would it not be this one?

Agreed. Plus, I highly doubt Stevie or her management would allow FM to record without the fifth firefly.

Nobody said anything about doing an album without her against her will. If she is willing to do it she should and will do it. People are just saying if she's not willing then a Stevie-less album, which likely wouldn't happen anyway, wouldn't be such a bad thing. She's held off a FM album for far too long except before she was half of songwriting. Now she's a third.

Of course she'll be on the new album.
Nobody should think for a minute that she won't.
But the idea is intriguing.
I can't help but to think how great all the
Buckingham - McVie songs were when I first heard them.
Even the beginning vocal tricks on Eyes of the World.

I bet Stevie is OK in principle with making a new album with GFM. No doubt She and her team are putting pressure on the band, slowing things down a lot. She probably wants control over things like production and her cut of the profits etc. which take a long time to negotiate.

I don't know why it would not be this one. I don't know what is going through Stevie's head. But if she doesn't want to do an album in 2015, the band should go on without her and she can catch up with them and do one in 2017.

Yep. Everyone wants an album with all 5 of them, but if that can't be done in 2015 then I would MUCH rather have an album with the four than have no album at all. The idea of waiting 4 years, if that's how long it takes for her to come around sickens me. This is not the distance between Mirage and Tango any more. This is the distance between the present and the grave or the sickbed.

They are in great shape. Even John is doing something physically that I would be hard pressed to do, for 2.5 hours a night, much less the rest of them. But we have no promise that their youthful energy will last.

They should make a target date and if she's not on board in 2015, then they should go on without her. Waiting indefinitely for her to participate is not a viable option for me, but, to my chagrin, you're right that it "likely wouldn't happen anyway." But doing an album without her isn't putting an end to anything. If everyone is still around, they can always do another one with her, after she's had a chance to take a break from FM and explore her solo oats. Then, in 2017 or so, they can do another album with her and a "farewell" tour.

Michele
