I'm hoping she'll make a comment like "You know, when I was your age in 1971 and living with this gorgeous guy with blue eyes, I wrote a song called Lady which I recently released on an album (hint hint) and your performance reminded me of that song - Snoopy thanks you" or something along those lines.

Good news! this means the album charted higher than Rock a Little and The Other Side of the Mirror and ties Tango in the Night which despite it's multi- platinum sales and bumper crop of hit single only made it to number 7.

I'm glad that she's got what she's got.She had to weed through the young artists to get there.
I always said IYD would of done better if she did not bother touring with Rod before the release. She was sick and could not promote it when it was released.

It actually took me two years to get into this album. But I think it holds up over time. The only songs I don't like now, I didn't like 10 years ago either: That Made Me Stronger and Every Day. I don't like FFG, but I realize it needs to be there. An album needs a rocker. To me whether it's FFG or I Don't Care doesn't make much difference.
I think the other 10 songs on the album are pretty timeless and I'm still fond of the maligned Too Far From Texas. In fact, it was the first song that I liked on the album, before the others turned my head. Michele |

Bad news I'm afraid. Hits Daily Double has had an album sales update and '24 Karat Gold' is currently at #47. That's a colossal drop from its debut.
I know that HDD counts album sales from different sources as they update so there is every chance that the album could increase from this number. There will likely be another update in a few hours so I'll keep everyone updated. I hope it rises from this position though otherwise the album won't last very long at all. |

The only way Stevie is going to sell albums big time these days without hit singles like Babs is by way of FM...period. Figures crossed.
