I could only afford tickets to one night of the 1998 tour, but I was determined to go again so I took the train to Manhattan (I lived in the nearby suburbs) and stood outside the fire doors of Radio City Music hall and was able to listen from the sidewalk. That little set of the country-ish songs like ATGF and “Rose Garden” was very sweet and a welcome change to her set. We’d never get a set list quite like that again!

We also got Sleeping Angel, Garbo, and even dug out Gold and Braid too.

Back then I was drowning in credit card debt but still charged the best seat I could get with the group "Front Row USA" which was a Stubhub before the internet. I was 8 rows back and made contact during the Edge walk
