I just heard on XRT 93.1 that next Tues. at 5:00 p.m. Lindsey will be live in the studio talking about the new album. Just thought I would report! Anybody for raiding the XRT studio on that day?

I called the radio station today to VERIFY the news that Lindsey is going to be interviewed. Turns out that he is calling in and people at the studio thought he was coming in. It will be around 5pm though. I asked the guy if he knew if I could send "possible" interview questions, he said he wasn't sure but gave me the # for the request line. I am going to call in a little later to talk to the dj. I want to talk with the dude who will be talking to Lindsey and he goes on the air at 4 - so in the meantime I was wondering if you guys have questions you are dying to know, I will make a list and when I call the station this afternoon I will hopefully give them to him.

I couldn't tape it, but it was decent- I took some brief notes on what was said-

-He left FM "because it had gotten crazy" and was not inducive to trying to "grow creatively"

-When the solo album was *done* (<----), the stuff with Warners happened and he decided to hold off on it. (Is it just me, or have I never really heard him use the word "done" when describing the record?)

-Working w/o Chris was "different" and I'm pretty sure he said "inspiring"- gave band members more room to maneuver, play more aggressively.

-About Peacekeeper- the lyrics should have some ambiguity, the song's about three years old, written after looking a bit at how the world seemes to get increasingly desensitized to events that are negative and destructive, and looking at how that desensitization affects families/the individual- also looking at what peace means.

-In regards to the tour- they have to walk a line between doing something new and different and playing the favorites, and they're currently working on a middle section of the show that "will be different than anything we've done before."

My favorite quote- in regards to the touring, and how it'll be interesting but not crazy- "we're not going to do a Zooropa or anything like that"- that made me laugh. After all, he's got the leather jacket- all he needs are a few video cameras, light towers, and kick ass sunglasses.
