Exactly.

The best FM album since Mirage.

I know I am in the minority, but I actually loved SYW and still enjoy it

Not complete minority, I love SYW....its a slow burner.
Took a while to get into but even now I find new things about it every time I hear it.

I've alctually re-listened to it recently and I remembered how I actually have always enjoyed it in its imperfections.

I love it, too. Its uneven but SUBSTANTIAL. I admire that. So even if (for me) only slightly more than half the songs are attractive, thats still a great number. And the ones I dont care for are still meaty in their own ways.

That said, I agree with Homer that the CM/LB collaboration is the best Mac album since Mirage.

Pfft.

Lay Down For Free is the only song I could live without.

Totally agree. Well, actually I would rather they did what Lindsey was suggesting and do a double album.

Wait, Lindsey was actually suggesting they do another double album?

Now that might have been worth firing him for.

Not just from a financial standpoint, but even as a fan...

Think--if Tusk and SYW had each hypothetically been spread over two albums instead of crammed into double albums, we'd have FOUR albums to make polls about on here instead of just two.

The man has a double album fetish.
There must have been one among those vinyls of his brother's that he got hooked on as a kid.

I don't need to go into what should have been as Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie is perfect without any interference from Stevie. It is a Fleetwood Mac album by another name. Stevie would have worsened the album. The only new song that she's written recently and had the gall to publicly name is My Mother's Rings. Would be a nice album closer. But one song from her would have been just the right amount to me.

And we could go into what could have been with touring too. They shouldn't have continued to tour without Lindsey. They shouldn't have sacked Lindsey to begin with, he was just being a people pleaser to solo and Mac fans by wanting to tour in between Mac dates. But the end of the discussion is, the band called Fleetwood Mac has a new line up and this is likely the last (world) tour they will do. So like them or leave them, end of story.
